Kirk Cousins-Washington Redskins (4.8%)

If you’re in dual-QB leagues of any kind, Cousins is a great pickup  and should be a nice play in the coming weeks as he takes over for RG3.  In relief of the fallen Griffin on Sunday, Cousins led the Redksins to 41 points while throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-33 passing.  He achieved all that without Jordan Paul and DeSean Jackson who were not on the field due to injury.  With those numbers, Cousins finished as the sixth-highest scoring QB in week 2.

At this point, Griffin is without a timetable to return although the Redskins will avoid placing him on IR in hopes he can return this season.  A realistic time frame is at least six weeks, though, so Cousins still has value as a QB2 in dual-QB leagues.

Cousins and the Redskins will be on the road next week as they travel to Philadelphia who will be on a short week after Monday Night Football.  Washington will be forced to put up points to stay with the Eagles up-tempo attack, so expect a solid week out of the Michigan State product.  While there is a chance that Cousins will lose his job later this season to Griffin, he’s still worth grabbing as a second QB for the time being based on his grasp of new Coach Jay Gruden’s offense.
