player. 45. Thomas put up good numbers in last year’s Super Bowl finishing with 118 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks although much of that came with the game very much decided.  He’s a tough call for this week against the “Legion of Boom,” but I still see him as a WR1.  Even though he’ll be in a tough matchup, start Thomas with confidence although his ceiling may be a bit lower this week than some other matchups.. Denver Broncos. Week 3 @ Seahawks. Demaryius Thomas. 6

player. 55. Brown is virtually matchup proof since he draws so many targets from  Big Ben in the Steelers passing attack.  The Pathers are tough on opposing receivers, but Brown is still a WR1 although maybe a bit lower in the rankings than he will be some weeks.. Pittsburgh Steelers. Week 3 vs Panthers. Antonio Brown. 7

Week 3 @ Giants. Andre Johnson. 8. player. 10. Unlike Brown and Thomas, Johnson is in a great matchup as he and the Texans take on the Giants who have been shredded by Calvin Johnson and the Cardinals.  allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing WR.  Johnson has yet to find the end zone this season although he has shown a good rapport with Ryan Fitzpatrick and has six catches in each of the first two games for a total of over 150 yards.  Look for him to get to the end zone this week and to put up a top ten WR week.. Houston Texans

48. Jackson still has enough potential to go off that he’s a WR1 for me this week as he takes on the Falcons who allow the fifth-most points to opposing WR.  V-Jax is known for his feast or famine ways, and tonight could be an explosion if he can get on the same page as Josh McCown and they can work to erase the bad memories of their 0-2 start.. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Week 3 @ Falcons. Vincent Jackson. 9. player

49. Cobb caught only five passes for 39 yards in week 2 against the Jets, but he made it to the end zone twice giving him three receiving TD’s on the year.  His yards-per-catch average is low, but expect it to improve as the season goes on. He’s in a great matchup against the Lions this week and his red zone presence makes him a nice fringe WR1 play.. Green Bay Packers. Week 3 @ Lions. Randall Cobb. 10. player

Cordarrelle Patterson. 11. player. 60. The Vikings need playmakers with Adrian Peterson sidelined and Patterson’s breakout season is now much more of a necessity for Minnesota than a luxury.  This week, Patterson gets to play indoors at the Superdome which should lead to a big game against the Saints D that allows the second most fantasy points to opposing WR.  Patterson should be in all lineups this weekend.. Minnesota Vikings. Week 3 @ Saints

57. Jeffery played through injury last week like his teammate Brandon Marshall although with less success finishing with just 47 yards on three catches.  He’s not quite WR1 material as he plays through his hamstring issue, but Jeffery is still a great WR2 option this week against the Jets porous secondary. . Chicago Bears. Week 3 @ Jets. Alshon Jeffery. 12. player

Week 3 vs Raiders. Julian Edelman. 13. player. 47. Edelman is far and away the favorite target of Tom Brady so far this season.  He’s surpassed even a still-recovering Gronk and continues to soak up looks all over the field including near the goal line.  The Raiders secondary has struggled mightily the last few years, so look for Edelman to put up another nice game in week 3.. New England Patriots

36. At first glance, Harvin’s one-catch, five-yard performance in week 2 was a huge letdown, but his rushing TD saved his fantasy day and kept his owners happy (even if he did step out of bounds).  The Seahawks offense was kept off the field for much of Sunday’s game, but this week they’ll need to open things up a bit to keep up with the Broncos.  Denver will force Seattle to score and their best way to do that is to get the ball in the hands of Harvin, so look for a big game for Percy. . Seattle Seahawks. Week 3 vs Broncos. Percy Harvin. 14. player

15. player. 54. Maclin’s late TD was enough to get the win for some of his owners on Monday Night Football as for the second week in a row Maclin made it to the end zone.  He still has tons of room to grow in his connection with Nick Foles, but he’s the lead receiver in a pretty good offensive attack, so he stays a WR2 against an improving Redskins offense . Philadelphia Eagles. Week 3 vs Redskins. Jeremy Maclin
