After trading Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, the Minnesota Timberwolves seem to be looking at trading Kevin Martin before the season starts.

Martin was signed last offseason to what has turned out to be a terrible contract, as he didn’t perform nearly as well as the Wolves would have liked and hardly up to his level of pay. Trade rumors involving Martin aren’t new but the most recent rumor has him being shopped to a scoring-needy Chicago Bulls team.
Wolves beat reporter Darren Wolfson reports that the Bulls and Wolves have talked about a trade that would send Mike Dunleavy Jr and Tony Snell to Minnesota for Martin but the trade has no legs at the moment.
Wolfson did note though that the Bulls and Wolves talked a lot this summer, meaning that the trade may be revisited at some point in time. That may not end up being until the trade deadline but the bottom line is the Bulls seem interested in at least pondering making one more move to make sure their roster is as fortified as possible.
