New York Giants

They rank 28th in scoring on offense. They rank 28th in points allowed on defense. Give the Giants credit, at least they are consistent.

The Giants started out 0-6 last season before bouncing back a little bit. They did not make the playoffs, but they played better at the end of the season than in the beginning.

The ending of the season gave fans hope that if the Giants could get out of the blocks fast this season, the playoffs could be in the picture again. Well, that plan has not worked.

Once again, the Giants are stumbling out of the gate. They have a poor offense to go with a poor defense. Things are dim in Giants nation.

Eli Manning seems to not recognize the color blue. Three times in his career he has thrown 20 interceptions or more, including 27 last season. He is right on target (or off target) this season, throwing four picks in two games.

Talk of Tom Coughlin’s future in New York are starting again. After winning the Super Bowl in 2011, the Giants have missed the playoffs two straight years, and this one is not looking too good either.

A man who stresses discipline, the Giants are anything but this season. Victor Cruz was complaining, saying the only way for the offense to get better was to throw more to him. So what happened last week? He dropped three passes.

If this continues, don’t expect Coughlin to come back in 2015.
