Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are the most hard luck team in this group. They very well could be 2-0 and flying high. They opened the season against the Broncos and dug themselves an early hole. They rallied to make it close, but they ultimately went down.

In Week 2, they faced the Philadelphia Eagles. This time the Colts were the ones that took an early lead and controlled most of the game. They owned a 14-point third quarter lead before the Eagles took flight. Some questionable play calling and a questionable no-call by the referees doomed the Colts, and they again lost to go 0-2.

The Colts’ defense has let them down so far this season. They rank 29th in points allowed and 29th in yards allowed per game. No matter how good the offense is with Andrew Luck, if the defense cannot stop the opposition, the team will lose a lot of games.

Speaking of the offense, the Colts’ running game still is a work in progress. They rank 20th in yards per game, though they do rank 17th in yards per carry. Their backs are having trouble scoring, though, running the ball into the end zone just once so far. That puts pressure on Luck to shoulder the load. If their running game doesn’t improve, it will be a long season for Luck and the Colts.
