Game: Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers (-3)

Pick: Panthers (-3)

Last week, I wrote that I still believed Carolina was in for a regression season. I take it back. I take everything back. The Panthers have the best defense in the NFL. Yes, the best. A week ago, they held Calvin Johnson to 83 yards receiving and no touchdowns. In two games, they’ve forced six turnovers and have allowed only 587 yards of offense. They’ve also allowed just 21 points. Translation: Luke Kuechly’s bunch is good, and I look forward to them causing havoc against a Steelers offense that managed just six points and 301 yards at Baltimore.

Game: Chicago Bears at New York Jets (-2.5)

Pick: Bears (+2.5)

Geno Smith’s team isn’t beating Jay Cutler’s team on Monday Night Football. It’s not happening.
