Jeff Fisher – St. Louis Rams

Fisher is another coach who has probably been dealt a very unfair hand – namely oft-injured quarterback Sam Bradford.

But the Rams play in what is arguably the toughest division in all the NFL right now, and to continue to fall further behind the other teams in the NFC West will spell doom for any coach, even one as good as Fisher.

St. Louis (without a real quarterback to speak of) is off to a 1-2 start, with the win coming against a team even more hapless than the Rams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Giving up a 21 point lead to the Dallas Cowboys last week may have started the front office sifting through resumes for head coach.

Fisher has handed in two 7-win seasons since taking over for Steve Spagnuolo in 2012, and has yet to show that the Rams are on the upswing. It’s possible that the Bradford injury may help save his job, but at the very least the Rams are going to have to finish 8-8 or better.

Prognosis, not looking good for Mr. Fisher.
