For those worrying about the Green Bay Packers after they were shut out for the last three quarters in a 19-7 loss to the Detroit Lions, Aaron Rodgers has five letters for you, R-E-L-A-X. The Packers will be fine.

Rodgers spoke on WAUK-AM radio in his weekly show, per NFL.com, and he dismissed the panic that has swept through Green Bay after the team fell to 1-2 while also discussing the issues at hand.

“We’re not playing fast enough on offense,” Rodgers noted. He also cited lack of third down conversions and acknowledged the running game never got going against a tough Detroit front.

Despite their troubles though, Rodgers was firm in his assertion that the Packers are just fine. “Five letters here just for everybody out there in Packer-land: R-E-L-A-X,” Rodgers said. “Relax. We’re going to be OK.”

The NFC North has always been a wide-open affair and it’s hard to predict where injuries and circumstance will lead the division leaders. For now, the Lions and Bears sit a game ahead of the Packers, but that can all change in a week.

The Packers have improved on defense, which was the bigger concern coming into the season, and it’s a safe bet Aaron Rodgers can get Green Bay’s offense back on course. All of which spells the very word he’s been conveying all along. Relax, people. It’s still early for the Packers and for everyone else.
