Jordan Matthews-WR-Philadelphia Eagles (2.9%)

Unlike the earlier WR listed in our Week 4 pickups, Matthews isn’t the top option on his team, but he’s part of an offense that is effective enough to create fantasy points for multiple receivers. The rookie from Vanderbilt has huge upside.

Matthews had a season-high nine targets in the Eagles win finishing with a pair of touchdowns on his eight catches for 59 yards.  Even in the first two games, the Eagles WR was targeted four times each although with less impressive results.

It looks like Matthews has stepped into the #2 WR role for the Eagles passing Riley Cooper.  As a red zone target and a slot option, Matthews has an extremely high ceiling in the Eagles high-flying offense.  He’s more of a long-term option for steady production, but he has huge upside in case of an injury, and you can roll the dice on any week that he’ll pull in scores from Nick Foles.
