Golden State Warriors new arena design looks like a giant toilet

The Golden State Warriors are working on a new arena for their team, which is always an exciting time for a franchise and a fan base and provides a clean slate and a new home for memories. The question is over what look to go for in the building?

Do you go something more modern, like what the Brooklyn Nets did with the Barclay’s Center? Or do you go with something more classic and relatable to the city like the Dallas Mavericks’ brick and stone look at the American Airlines Center?

It looks like the Warriors went with a more modern approach with a terrace that extends out, kind of similar to the overhang at the Barclay’s Center. There is just one problem with the Warriors’ new design…. it kind of resembles a giant toilet. (Make sure to look at the overhead in the bottom right corner

That is not exactly what you want your arena to look like, and a few years of struggles could lead to some interesting “flush jokes.” It reminds me that episode of How I Met Your Mother when an architect was completely oblivious to the fact that his building looked like a certain male body part. (Bonus: That architect was played by Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston.)

The new arena in San Francisco is supposed to be open in 2018.
