27. Detroit Lions- Cornerback Trae Waynes, Michigan State

The Detroit Lions decided to ignore their need for a cornerback in the 2014 NFL Draft, but they won’t be able to in 2015. After Bill Bentley was injured for the season, Detroit has been stretched thin. Regardless, Detroit has been very impressive and I predict them to go far in the playoffs this season, but they need to address their secondary concerns at the cornerback position in next year’s draft. Michigan State cornerback Trae Waynes is a great option for the Lions. He’s a bigger corner at 6’1 and has great speed. His hitting ability is strong and he shows great promise on forcing turnovers. He’s a leader for a fantastic Michigan State defense and he’ll extend that to a Lions team that needs him.
