Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder have it all.

  1. They have the best player in the game of basketball (Kevin Durant).
  2. They have a sitcom drama between their two best players (Durant & Russell Westbrook).
  3. They have an enemy from the Western Conference who wants to prove he’s better than them (James Harden).
  4. They even have a rival they want to chase (LeBron James).

Last season the Thunder were carried on the back of Durant and he showed he was more than ready to take the next step in his game. I picked Durant as my Most Valuable Player in the NBA this year and he will have the opportunity to win it once again. Last season the Thunder ended up in the Western Conference Finals and could not break through to the NBA Finals. Once again though, they start at square one and we are in for an awesome ride once. Now we get to see one more year of Russell Westbrook maturing as a point guard and player.

Now if only we can get better shot selection from Westbrook….

Nevertheless, the Thunder also have a group of athletic big men who will contribute to their frontline including their shining draft pick Mitch McGary, and the person who should start at center for their roster, Steven Adams.

The Thunder have more than enough talent to win an NBA Championship. I actually have them as my champions for next year.

Go get it done.
