Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants

I’ll admit that I was wrong to have written the Giants off after their 0-2 start. They proved something to me last week with their absolute dismantling of the Redskins on Thursday night. Now they’ve had a few extra days to prepare for a Falcons team that got beaten by the Vikings who were without Adrian Peterson and starting a rookie QB for the first time. The Falcons offensive line has been decimated by injuries and that’s why I don’t think their high powered offense will be able to put up enough points to pull this road game off. I’ll take Eli Manning and the Giants to keep their winning ways going for another week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints

No game surprised me more last week than the Bucs knocking off the Steelers. While not as surprising as that game, I was also a little surprised with how poorly the Saints looked against the Cowboys. Could another upset be in the works here? Well……I don’t think so. While the New Orleans defense will likely allow enough points to keep the game close the Tampa Bay defense is currently allowing opposing QBs to complete 75.8% of their passes for 8.7 yards per attempt with 8 TDs and only one interception. That sounds like a good defense for Drew Brees and his passing attack to break out against.
