28. Minnesota Timberwolves- 25.5 wins

2013-14 Record: 40-42

Minnesota is a tricky one because Kevin Love scored 23 percent of their total points last season. Without him, I don’t even know what the Wolves are even going to do offensively.

Why you should take the Over:

Right now, the Timberwolves are built to run. They have a great passer at point guard in Ricky Rubio, and he’s fantastic in transition. They have two of the most athletic rookie wings, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine, in basketball. Thad Young can get up and down the court at power forward. Kevin Martin, Mo Williams, and backup big Gorgui Dieng are good in transition. Shabazz Muhammad is supposedly in better shape than he was last season. The core of this team is built to push the tempo and score points.

Why you should take the Under:

The Wolves best returning player, Nikola Pekovic, literally, can’t run the court, which creates a huge style problem for head coach Flip Saunders. Of course, the Wolves can play different styles with and without Pek on the court, but that’s a lot easier said than done.

In Saunders’ first season as head coach, I’m expecting a ton of growing pains. This team has potential, but it’s years away from being playoff material.

Still, I will take the over on the Wolves; 28 wins seems like the right number for this team.
