24. Sacramento Kings- 30.5 wins

2013-14 Record: 28-54

In one of the weirdest decisions of the offseason, the Kings sent point guard Isaiah Thomas to the Phoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade deal for a $7 million trade exception and the rights to Alex Oriakhi. Thomas was one of the best Kings best players last season, and the Kings replaced him with (drum roll, please)… Darren Collison!

I don’t get it, Kings…

Why you should take the Over:

In what would be just short of a miracle, Collison is a better fit than Thomas with the Kings and somehow has the best season of his career. Collison probably isn’t as bad as most people think, but there’s no way he’s starting point guard material. To have a better season, the Kings would also have need their young wings, Ben McLemore and Nik Stauskas, to be positive contributors, which is asking a lot from young wings.

Boogie Cousins had his best season and was sneaky awesome to the tune of 22.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. Rudy Gay didn’t even play like the old Rudy Gay and actually had a positive impact after being traded from the Toronto.

Why you should take the Under:

On paper, the Kings got worse this season, no doubt about it. Even with Cousins and Gay playing well last season, the Kings only won 28 games. And, that’s why they won’t win more than 30 games this season.

Take the under on the Kings.
