DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys

In the opening frame of the 2014 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys offense has been carried in large part by running back DeMarco Murray. However, though Murray has always had talent, he also has a habit of ending up injured every season.

Over the first three years of his career, Murray has missed three games, six games and two games. So you might be excused if you thought it unlikely that he’ll stay healthy enough to keep up the high pace of touchdowns (five already this season), 5.4 yards per carry and heavy carry total (99 already this season).

If he goes down though, what becomes of a Cowboys offense which has mostly been stagnant?

As we enter the second month of the season, the question is can Murray stay healthy?

Or will this just end up being another season of “could have been” which wasn’t?
