Fantasy Football Waiver Wire 2014: Top 10 Week 6 pickups
Brian Hoyer-QB-Cleveland Browns (2.7%)
Hoyer and the Browns got a nice win coming off their bye coming from behind to beat the Titans in Tennessee. It was Hoyer’s best statistical game of the season as he threw for 292 yards and three TD’s. It was his second straight game with at least 290 yards passing, and he seems to be recovering more each week from his knee injury that cost him the second half of last season.
Hoyer has kept the Browns in games and will now have a chance to do more with more weapons now that Jordan Cameron and Ben Tate are back from their injury. They’re an offense getting healthy at just the right time since their schedule ahead is a very favorable one.
Next week, Hoyer faces the Steelers in Cleveland. Pittsburgh had success limiting Hoyer in week one, but things lighten up for the Browns after that with matchups against the Jags, Raiders, and Bucs. If you need a fill-in and Eli Manning has already been picked up, Hoyer is all the sudden one of the best options available.
