Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5) at Tennessee Titans (1-4)

While Thursday Night Football is guaranteed to be a blowout, Jags-Titans is going to the toilet bowl of the week.

In Week 5, the Titans choked away a 25-point lead against the Browns. If you’re shocked the Browns scored 25 points in a game, you and the Titans are not alone.

Jake Locker injured his thumb in the first half and didn’t return. Locker could play Sunday against the Jaguars, but it’s uncertain if he will at this point. Titans’ backup Charlie Whitehurst, who threw two touchdown passes in the first half against Cleveland, would likely get the start. The Titans need to get something going. After looking good in Week 1 against the Chiefs, the Titans have been unimpressive since and lost their last four games. Without Locker in the lineup, there’s little to feel good about as a Titans’ fan. Who knows, though, maybe Whitehurst can light up Jacksonville’s league-worst defense.

Blake Bortles and Jags, on the other hand, won’t be facing one of the league’s best defenses, either. The Titans have the sixth-worst defense in the league and are allowing 27.8 PPG. As the league’s second-worst scoring offense, the Jags could definitely use this game to give some momentum to their rookie quarterback.

It also could be another lackluster performance for this Jags’ offense. We’ll find out Sunday.
