Denver Broncos (3-1) at New York Jets (1-4)

While we saw the Patriots bounce back in their home game the week after getting blown out on the road, I don’t think anyone’s counting on the Jets figuring out their problems against the league’s best fourth-best scoring offense averaging 29.0 PPG.

The Jets were shut at San Diego in Week 5 and looked hopeless for much of the game. After the game, head coach Rex Ryan apologized for the team’s awful performance. Geno Smith, who was pulled for Michael Vick, will be the starter for Week 6, but it honestly doesn’t matter who is starting for the Jets. They will be destroyed by Peyton Manning and the Broncos.

The Broncos aren’t going to shut out the Jets like San Diego did; they’re defense isn’t built to pitch shut-outs. It’s still not going to be close. If the Broncos don’t put up 50 points, I’ll be surprised.

At 1-4, the Jets are now playing for pride, so I expect them to come out to a fast start. Unfortunately for the Jets, after they’re 15-second three-and-out to start the game, that will just give Manning more time with the ball.
