Most of the chatter surrounding Golden State Warriors’ guard Klay Thompson has surrounded the rumors that he could have been traded for Kevin Love and his potential contract extension (the Warriors and Klay Thompson have until October 31 to work out a deal or he will become a restricted free agent in 2015). That’s why Klay Thompson is probably happy to finally get back onto the court.
Klay Thompson had a great season debut in the Warriors’ 112-94 loss to the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night. He had 20 points, three rebounds and three assists.
On one play, Klay Thompson blew by Clippers’ center Spencer Hawes and threw down a jam.

The Warriors believe Klay Thompson is in for a huge season and will become one of the league’s best two-way players. If that is the case, he is going to get big bucks in the offseason.
