How big a part of the offense will Odell Beckham Jr be?

Odell Beckham Jr played just over 50 percent of the offensive snaps last week and based on how well he played, he could quickly find himself on the field even more frequently, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

The question is how big?

Right now, Beckham appears on the Giants depth chart as the third wide receiver, behind Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle. That means the rookie will only be on the field in three-wide sets, which the Giants do employ regularly.

However, another good game or two could see him creep into two-wide sets, as he is far more talented than Randle.

This week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday night (during which I will be in the press box for Sports On Earth) is a critical one, and the Eagles will pay a lot of attention to Cruz and Randle. Could the Giants then turn to Beckham?

If they do, he’ll see a lot of time on the field, and he might not let it go as the season moves forward.
