NFL Week 6 Winners & Losers: McCoy, New York Giants and radio morons
By Andrew Garda
WINNER: LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles
Guess whose back? Back again? Shady (McCoy) is back. Tell a friend.
OK, so I’m no Eminem, but that doesn’t make it less true as LeSean McCoy blew up the New York Giants run defense for 149 yards and a 6.8 yards-per-carry average.
As I drove to Lincoln Financial Field to watch the Eagles-Giants game, sports radio was obsessed with what was wrong with McCoy, but the guy we saw on the field Sunday night looked just fine.
The offensive line looked incredible as well, opening huge holes for him or holding the edge so he could get around the corner.
It’s been a long season so far for McCoy, but now that he has his first 100-yard game of the season, perhaps he can drum up a few more touchdowns.
