No. 20-16

20. Zac Stacy – St. Louis Rams – previously no. 18

If Zac Stacy was getting feature back carries he would be higher up on this list. However, he seems to be slowly losing more and more carries to Benny Cunningham and Tre Mason. If that trend continues Stacy could see himself sliding off this list altogether. Stacy is a power back that is best in close games or running out the clock when the Rams have a lead. With the Rams struggling this season he simply isn’t getting enough looks.

19. Khiry Robinson – New Orleans Saints – previously unranked

Khiry Robinson is the best “running” back on the Saints roster. However, with the Saints emphasis being on Drew Brees and the passing attack Robinson loses a lot of snaps to Pierre Thomas who is better as a receiving target. If the Saints could actually build some leads early on Robinson could be a major force as a runner.

18. Chris Ivory – New York Jets – previously unranked

It didn’t take very long for the Jets to realize that Chris Ivory was a better option at RB than Chris Johnson. Ivory has responded with over 400 total yards and almost five yards per carry. This is another case where if the team wasn’t always playing from behind Ivory might be able to put up some pretty impressive numbers.

17. Rashad Jennings – New York Giants – previously unranked

Rashad Jennings was on his way to making the top ten on this list until an injury sidelined him. If Jennings can get back on the field soon and can regain his feature back status he can be one of the biggest producers in the league. On the other hand, if his injury lingers and Andre Williams impresses Jennings could find himself dropping off this list altogether.

16. Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – previously no. 23

Once again this season everyone discounted Fred Jackson and assumed that CJ Spiller’s talent would win him the bulk of the touches in the Bills offense. Once again, Jackson has proved everyone wrong and is earning his playing time. Jackson has amassed 472 total yards and a couple of touchdowns. That having been said, Spiller is still talented enough to earn playing time and keep Jackson from climbing much higher on this list.
