No. 15-11

15. Ahmad Bradshaw – Indianapolis Colts – previously unranked

Dear Indianapolis Colts,

Stop taking snaps away from Ahmad Bradshaw in order to play Trent Richardson. Seriously, just stop it. I don’t care what you traded away to get him, playing an inferior player just because you traded for him just compounds the problem. So stop it. Now. Give Bradshaw the bulk of the touches from here on out. You won’t regret it.

Sincerely,
Everyone Who Has Watched Richardson and Bradshaw Play

14. Lamar Miller – Miami Dolphins – previously unranked

The first RB power rankings list included Knowshon Moreno over Lamar Miller, but an injury to Moreno and solid production by Miller has caused them to swap out in this second edition. Miller is currently the 13th leading rusher in the NFL and is averaging an impressive 5.2 yards per carry with four total TDs. With production like that the Dolphins would be wise to keep him on the field even with Moreno returning from injury.

13. Andre Ellington – Arizona Cardinals – previously no. 17

Andre Ellington is an electric playmaker, but despite an injury to Carson Palmer to start the season the Cardinals seem reluctant to make him a 20 carry per game feature back. He has almost 500 yards of total offense thus far, but until his 16.2 carries per game number rises he won’t be able to crack the top ten on this list.

12. Eddie Lacy – Green Bay Packers – previously no. 6

Eddie Lacy hasn’t seemed like the same RB this season. Maybe it’s because the Packers’ offensive line has been struggling or maybe it’s due the concussion issues he’s battled. Regardless, Lacy only has 306 yards (about 50 per game) and is averaging 3.8 yards per carry. Lacy certainly can’t complain that defenses are selling out to stop the run against him because the clear goal when facing the Packers is to slow down Aaron Rodgers and the passing attack.

11. Frank Gore – San Francisco 49ers – previously no. 15

Frank Gore is another back (similar to Fred Jackson) that people always seem to assume is going to get passed up by younger backs, but he just keeps producing. Despite the presence of Carlos Hyde, Gore is still in the top ten for rushing yards this season. If anything, getting spelled by Hyde seems to be keeping his legs fresh as he entered the Monday night game against the Rams averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
