EA Sports is drawing closer to the launch of NBA Live 15, however for gamers looking to play the game before launch, there will be no demo.

NBA Live 15 is set to launch on October 28 for the Microsoft Xbox One and the Sony PlayStation 4. After entering back onto the basketball gaming scene last season after taking a hiatus, the folks at EA Sports are looking to take a significant leap forward. Unfortunately, the title hasn’t been shown off too much.

NBA Live 15 has done a great job of showing off what types of features are going to power the game. Having shown off both Eastern and Western Conference team ratings, as well as player specific ratings categories, the game has been plenty in the spotlight. However, the most important part of the game, gameplay, has been missing in action.

Now, several outlets have reported that NBA Live 15 will forgo releasing a pre-release date demo. Those gamers paying for EA Access on Xbox One will be given the opportunity to play the newest basketball title a few days before it launches, but no PlayStation gamers or non EA Access members will have that opportunity.

A demo will go live on release date, but it appears that EA Sports is trying to delay impressions until the full title is in gamers hands.

The move is an extremely risky one considering the debacle that was NBA Live 14. After the game returned to the hardwood, gamers turned away from what was a pretty poor effort. It was noted that the hiatus would obviously cause NBA Live to take some time to return to form, but it looked very out of date.

You can bet that plenty of Xbox One gamers will want to be looking into an EA Access trial run of NBA Live 15 before shelling out $60 for the title. Unfortunately, running the game through EA Access as a demo signifies EA Sports asking you to pay $4.99 to demo a game, an otherwise poor decision.

At any rate, the move is somewhat surprising, but here’s to holding out hope that NBA 2k15 can get some competition.
