No. 4: New Orleans Pelicans

There is only one reason and one reason only that I would want to watch the New Orleans Pelicans this season: Anthony Davis. Davis is a monster on offense and a menace in the paint, blocking every shot that is sent his way.

He is such a good jumper and finisher that he is always a threat to throw down a huge alley oop or monstrous dunk over an unsuspecting defender. He is a constant threat to throw up 40 points, a triple double or even both! He is one of the great talents of the NBA these days and I love watching him at this stage in his career — he is still young and learning the game but has so much natural athletic talent that he can put up 20 points and 15 boards without breaking a sweat.

A couple of other reasons to watch the Pellies — Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon in the backcourt, Tyreke Evans on the wing and Omer Asik in the paint. Also, this team still has Austin Rivers! It’s always fun to watch him miss six shots a night in three minutes of on-court action!

Overall, the Pelicans are a great team to watch because of the possibility of Anthony Davis making a Top 10 play every time he steps onto the court.
