Phoenix Suns’ point guard Isaiah Thomas has been one of the game’s most underrated player for some time.
The Sacramento Kings obviously didn’t agree. Instead of trying to work out an extension with Isaiah Thomas when he became a free agent this offseason, they dealt him to the Phoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade where he got a four-year, $27 million deal.
On Tuesday night, Isaiah Thomas and the Suns had one of their final tuneups of the preseason. Isaiah Thomas was the star for the Suns. He scored 26 points on six-of-12 shooting in 31 minutes. Plus, he sent the game to overtime. Down 94-92, Suns’ swingman Gerald Green missed a three-pointer. Isaiah Thomas got the rebound off of a bounce and knocked down a jumper at the buzzer.
The Suns would go on to win in overtime 114-108.
