NFL Teams On Upset Alert In Week 8
By Pete Schauer
Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles
After watching LeSean McCoy break out against the New York Giants last Sunday, it’s hard not to like a well-rested Philadelphia Eagles team coming off a bye week.
The Arizona Cardinals’ defense is stingy against the run–No. 1 in the NFL, actually–but they’re 21st against the pass while Philly ranks seventh-best in the league, averaging more than 260 yards per game through the air.
This week will be a true test for Arizona since they haven’t faced a back of the quality of McCoy, though I do see this being a game that goes down to the wire.
Both of these teams come into the game at 5-1. Something’s gotta give for two teams that have been the best in the NFL since Week 8 of last season.
The difference maker in this one will have to be Nick Foles against a Cardinals defense that has eight interceptions on the season, which ranks tied for third in the NFL.
Having won two big games on the road this season in Indianapolis and San Francisco, I like the Eagles away from the Linc over the Cardinals.
