10. Bryce Petty, QB – Baylor:

Few quarterbacks hit their receivers in stride as well as Petty consistently does. The senior is putting together another phenomenal season (17 touchdowns, 3 interceptions) and he has better athleticism running than many people realize. He has ideal NFL quarterback size at 6 foot 3, 230 pounds and now has a resume that’s beyond ready for professional action. His completion percentage this year could be a bit higher, but I don’t see that as a concern heading into the 2015 draft.

9. Todd Gurley, RB – Georgia:

Where to start with Mr. Gurley. He’s not a bad person, despite his recent troubles. And I don’t see this distraction affecting his future in the slightest. I have a gut feeling he’ll be reinstated to play soon, but his Heisman hopes may be dashed. Although, his NFL future is anything but dashed. He has the insane combination of speed and strength that another running back on this top ten has (look at number one on this list). The NFL team that drafts Gurley will have a workhorse back for years. He can break tackles at will in the SEC and will be just as effective in the pros.

8. Senquez Golson, DB – Ole Miss:

What Golson lacks in overall size he makes up for in utter playmaking ability. The senior is showing all NFL scouts why he should, despite his size, be considered a future stud at the professional level. He already has seven interceptions on the year and is a leader on one of college football’s great defenses. If he can bulk up a bit and keep his elite speed, he’ll be quite the force to be reckoned with for whichever team is lucky enough to draft him.

7. Rakeem Cato, QB – Marshall:

Marshall’s senior quarterback is understandably overlooked by many. I mean, Marshall isn’t exactly a college football powerhouse, but Cato should be getting much more attention. He’s not the largest guy, but he can add some mass in the offseason in an NFL weight-program. Throughout his career he’s been extremely efficient and he has put up big numbers with few turnovers. He can elude pass rushers as good as anyone in college football and he can also run with great effectiveness when he needs to.

6. Hau’oli Kikaha, LB – Washington:

The Huskies’ senior linebacker is one of the best players in all of college football, plain and simple. His explosiveness off the edge mixed with his size is something to behold. This year he’s recorded a sack in every single game. Every single game. He has 12.5 on the year and will definitely be racking them up in the NFL, too. Many professional teams will be taking a long look at him as the 2015 NFL draft approaches. Athletes like him rarely come around and when they play the game with the intensity that he brings — it’s lethal.
