4. Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints

One player that wasn’t expected to struggle this season heading into the year was Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees. The entire team has been playing poor football for the most part this season, but Brees has being playing like the elite quarterback that he has been for quite some time. He has quite a few weapons to work with, but he just doesn’t appear to be his normal self this season.

Brees has played in all six games so far this season, throwing for 1,916 yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Unfortunately, the Saints are sitting at 2-4 and aren’t looking like serious playoff contenders at this point in time. It’s very possible that Brees gets the ship righted before it’s too late, but he has some work to do in order to get to that point.

New Orleans needs their quarterback to lead the way back to contention if they want to have any chance, and it all starts on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers. Brees hasn’t been playing elite football so far this year, and he needs to figure out why that is and get things right soon.
