NFL: 5 Most Disappointing Players in Football
By Evan Massey
1. Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Obviously the number one disappointment of the football season so far has been the downfall of Vikings’ superstar running back Adrian Peterson. He entered another season where many expected him to dominate and continue proving that he is the best back in the league, but has missed a lot of time due to off-the-field issues. Not only has he suffered by not putting up numbers, he has also suffered in the way that the public views him.
Peterson has only picked up 75 yards on 21 carries in the season, and likely won’t be playing anymore this year. Minnesota is going to have quite a few decisions to make, and Peterson’s future certainly isn’t looking all that bright at this point in time.
Hopefully all of the talk about his character will end up to be just talk, but things aren’t sounding good for Peterson. He has all of the talent in the world once he steps onto the football field, but his life off the field doesn’t seem to be in good shape at all. It will be interesting to see what else comes out as his court case comes up, but right now he is by far the most disappointing player in the NFL.
