Cleveland Cavs at Chicago Bulls
8:00 PM ET, October 31, 2014
United Center, Chicago, IL

If you didn’t get excited when you first saw the NBA schedule back in August, you are not a real NBA fan. This game has the return of two of the NBA’s biggest stars — LeBron James and Derrick Rose. LeBron is back home in Cleveland and will be playing his first game with the Cav’s new big three of James, Kevin Love and Dion Waiters (just kidding, Kyrie Irving.)

While the national media will hype up the Cavs first game, the local fans in Chicago are looking forward to the return of Derrick Rose, who is back at 100% after months and months of lost time due to injuries and rehab. Rose looked great this summer at the FIBA Basketball Championships and was explosive as ever in the Bulls vs. Cavs preseason game on October 20th.

I could see Rose going for 30 or even 40 points in this one feeding off the energy of his return to the United Center and the energy of the Bulls fans.

Finally, this game could be a preview of the Eastern Conference Finals in May. Both of these teams have NBA title aspirations, and will provide a fun to watch basketball game for Friday night.
