St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Kendall Langford has been replaced in the starting lineup by rookie Aaron Donald and teams are inquiring about his availabililty.

With the NFL trade deadline coming up Tuesday, the St. Louis Rams are reportedly getting inquiries about defensive tackle Kendall Langford.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport:

More from Los Angeles Rams

Langford, 28, is in his third season with the Rams and his seventh overall in the NFL. He started the first four games of the season, but was replaced in the starting lineup by first-round pick Aaron Donald two weeks ago.

The durable Langford, who has never missed a game in his career, has made eight tackles this season.

Last season, Langford set career highs with 49 tackles and five sacks, while also defensing four passes.

He has 14½ sacks and four forced fumbles in his career.

Langford was a third-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2008 out of Hampton and spent four seasons in Miami before signing as a free agent with the Rams in March 2012.

Donald, the 13th-overall pick by St. Louis out of Pittsburgh in May, has 17 tackles and two sacks in six games and has recorded nine tackles and a sack since moving into the starting lineup on Oct. 13 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Donald had five tackles, including a sack, in the Rams’ upset of the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks last week.

Langford carries a $5 million salary cap number for this season, so a team would have to take on about half of that. St. Louis would likely be looking for a draft pick or, if possible, help at linebacker or in the secondary.
