Fantasy Football Waiver Wire 2014: Top 10 Week 9 pickups
Allen Robinson-WR-Jacksonville Jaguars (3.8%)
Robinson has been the Jaguars most consistent receiver and has developed a nice connection with fellow-rookie Blake Bortles. Robinson has led the team in receiving in each of the last two weeks while scoring a touchdown each week as well. He hasn’t had 100 yards in any game yet this season but has been over 50 yards for six of the last seven games.
Robinson has passed the oft-injured and inconsistent Cecil Shorts as the Jaguars WR to own in fantasy football, and he makes an intriguing WR3 candidate since Jacksonville is often playing from behind and throwing the ball. Robinson and Bortles both have lots of room to grow at their positions, so look for his production to trend upwards as the season goes on.
The next couple of weeks the Jags are in tough matchups with the Bengals and Cowboys on the slate, but both those teams will probably force Jacksonville to play from behind which could result in good final stat lines from Robinson. If you’re looking for someone who will get looks every week which keeps him fairly low-risk, Robinson is definitely a name to check out.
