I’m looking forward to Suns vs. Thunder on Sunday, December 14
By Caleb Nordgren (@chisportsguy41)

The Suns and Thunder met three times last year. The first was in OKC in November, when the Thunder were victorious, despite Gerald Green springing for 21 points and 8 rebounds off the bench. The next time was March 6, in what was possibly the single greatest game of last year’s regular season. The Suns triumphed at home — even after the Thunder took an early lead — behind Gerald Green’s 41 points. The third and final tilt came a month later on April 6, with Phoenix once again winning at home. Gerald Green scored 24 points.

See a pattern developing here?

The first Suns-Thunder game of the season comes on December 14 in Oklahoma City. Kevin Durant should — fingers crossed — be back by then, but if not, there’s always 17 days later on the 31st, when they meet once again in OKC. Either way, this is appointment viewing, and not just because Gerald Green might go off for 60. These two teams like to get out and run, they like to spread the floor and bomb away from distance, and they have immensely talented individuals on their teams.

The Suns’ three-headed point guard of Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas going against Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka? Gerald Green swagging out behind the three-point line?

I’m getting chills just thinking about it.
