No. 8-5

8. Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints (+1)

Drew Brees looked more like the QB that we all have come to expect this past weekend against the Packers. He’s up one spot, but before he works his way back into the top five (where I had him to start the year) he’s going to have to do it in more than one game. His completion percentage is still there he just needs to create a few more big plays.

7. Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers (+3)

Well, that’s one way to get yourself shooting up the QB Power Rankings, isn’t it? Big Ben went crazy on the Colts last week putting up the biggest numbers of the season against what was seen as a pretty good defense. Roethlisberger has looked good all season with the exception being that he couldn’t get the ball in the end zone at times. That wasn’t a problem last Sunday and if he keeps it up he could eventually crack the top five.

6. Tony Romo – Dallas Cowboys (-1)

Tony Romo drops one spot after losing to the Washington Redskins on Monday night. The only hole in Romo’s game this year was how poorly he adjusted to the blitz. If that problem continues he could start slipping in these rankings, but he’s just been too good thus far to drop him any more (yet). Romo is up there with the best in the league in “air yards” per completion, but unlike guys that are up there with him like Glennon and Hoyer, Romo is still completing 68.2% of his passes. I hope his back is okay because he’s been playing great football overall.

5. Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts (-1)

Andrew Luck drops a spot after getting spanked by Big Ben and the Steelers. Luck is having a fantastic season and it looks like all the hype around him coming into the NFL may end up being warranted. While Luck has produced a ton of yards and TDs, I think the other four QBs ahead of him are playing just a little bit better.
