The Los Angeles Laker opened the NBA season hosting the Houston Rockets. That pitted Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant against his former teammate Dwight Howard, who spurned the Lakers and turned down more money to stay in Los Angeles to jump to Houston.
At one point during the game, Kobe was guarding Howard closely and Howard swung his elbows across his body to create space and caught Kobe’s Chin in the process.
That let to a bit of a dust up and scuffle and Kobe Bryant was seeing challenging Dwight to “try me” and later calling him “soft.”
It appears “soft” might not have been the only thing that Kobe called Howard. One of Dime Magazine‘s employees posted a video of Kobe from close behind the bench, and a post on their site claims Kobe allegedly follows up the “soft” line with “b*tch-a*s n***er.”
Though the caption of the video on Instagram only instructs you to listen closely. It certainly sounds like that is what Kobe Bryant is saying to Howard.
If you remember, Matt Barnes was fined $25K by the NBA when he called out his Los Angeles Clippers teammates while using the n-word after a dust up on the court.
