Today, the Evolve “Big Alpha” will go live on the PlayStation 4 and PC starting at 12pm ET. The test run will last through Sunday November 2.

On top of the Eveolve “Big Alpha” launching, 2K Games in enticing gamers a bit further with a new trailer. The Kraken Interactive Trailer gives you some insight on what to expect from the title, looking on from multiple different perspectives.

Turtle Rock Studios, the company behind Evolve, is also well known for having created the Left 4 Dead series. Originally, they had slated Evolve for a release in 2014, but the game was delayed until February 10, 2015.

The premise of Evolve is simple. Four players take on a single fifth player. However, the fifth player takes the role of a monster that has special, more deadly abilities.

Initially slated to launch under the THQ label, Take Two Interactive, 2K Games parent company, purchased the label when it went bankrupt.

For what it’s worth. Evolve looks like one of the most interesting games coming out next year. The Left 4 Dead titles were done incredibly well, so the bar is set pretty high for Turtle Rock. I haven’t yet hopped into the alpha but plan on doing so this weekend.
