An NBA 2K15 Halloween
NBA 2K15 introduced face scanning to the latest NBA game. Now, the company is taking some of the frightening results and showing them off for Halloween.
NBA 2K15 recently launched from 2K Sports. While it is easily the best basketball game on the market, with a leg up on NBA Live 15, the game suffers some issues when it comes to player creation. Introducing the ability to scan your face into the game this season, 2K Sports has gotten some frightening images back. Now it’s time to put them to good use.

There’s a general principle that you just can’t take yourself too seriously. It appears that the fine folks over at 2K Sports practice this thought process as well. With the face scanning technology in NBA 2K15 not working up to par for many, the team put together a nice parody video featuring popular Twitter voice for NBA 2K, Ronnie.
Check out the video below:
While I have not tried the face scanning myself (I play without the PlayStation camera), I have seen plenty of the images from those who have. As with any time a game tries to incorporate players faces, there has been some hiccups.
I can recall back to the Tiger Woods franchise when EA Sports used the Xbox 360 camera to try and capture faces. The process was tedious and normally provided some pretty frightening results. You at least have to give it to these companies for trying, it’s a neat practice when it works.
Also, Ronnie appears not to take himself too seriously in his tweet introducing the parody:
At any rate, if you’re looking for a Halloween-esque player model in NBA 2K15, it appears that the game is willing to lend a hand, and quite easily.
Send us some of your craziest faces!
