Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III says the God doesn’t want him to be a normal quarterback. So who are we to judge him as such?

When Robert Griffin III was drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2012, he was a savior for the franchise. But he may have let the theological aspects of his arrival in Washington get to his head a bit, as RGIII is calling upon the highest deity of them all as the end all, be all to the criticisms about his game.

According to the Redskins site, Robert Griffin III believe that God did not put him on this earth to be just a normal quarterback.

"“I’m ready to go, ready to play, get back out there with the guys and have fun. That’s what it is,” Griffin said. “God didn’t put us on this earth to be normal. So I’m not gonna go out there and try to be a normal quarterback. I’m gonna go out there and be the quarterback he’s called me to be.”"

This is assuming that if there is a God, he cares enough about a game it took mankind thousands of years to invent to make Robert Griffin III special enough to change it. IN essence, Robert Griffin III is God’s gift to football, and we finally get that gift back on Sunday afternoon.

What Robert Griffin III should be focused on is not how different or special a quarterback he is, but rather he should remain a healthy one. Through is first three seasons he has yet to play all 16 games. So in a way, Robert Griffin III is the very definition of a normal quarterback boarding on sub-par performance.
