4. Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback, Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers had a rough start to the season, but superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers rallied the troops and led them to a 5-2 record before falling to the New Orleans Saints last week. Rodgers has put together an impressive season statistically, and is once again one of the top-five players in the league as far as the MVP award is concerned.

Rodgers has completed 67.6 percent of his passes this year for 2,092 yards, 19 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Those numbers may not be as big as Luck’s, but the way he has taken care of the football makes him a spot above Luck at this point in time. Green Bay is going to be a contender in the NFC once again as they were expected to be prior to the season.

Needless to say, Rodgers is going to have to pick his numbers up a bit if he wants to end up winning the award. He has had some games where he has been a bit inconsistent, especially at the beginning of the year. Green Bay’s offense still has plenty of room to improve, which bodes well for Rodgers staying on this list through the end of the season.
