Mike Evans-WR-Tampa Bay Buccaneers (31.6%)

Evans performance on Sunday may be most remembered for his “money” celebration stolen from Johnny Football, but don’t overlook the performance that facilitated the celebration.  Against a pretty decent Cleveland secondary, Evans caught seven passes for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns vaulting him into the top spot in our week 10 waiver wire pickups.

This big performance didn’t come out of nowhere, though, since Evans has been putting up solid performances whenever he’s been healthy.  He did miss time earlier this season with a groin injury but has at least four catches in every game he’s played this season.  Sunday was by far his biggest day in the NFL and the two touchdowns give him four in his last four games.

Evans has obviously developed a nice connection with Mike Glennon and should keep getting plenty of work the rest of the season.  There’s still some question as to how good Glennon can really be and how good the Bucs can be, which does mean Evans might disappear if the Bucs offense really struggles.  However, since Tampa has been playing from behind and throwing the ball quite a bit, Evans is definitely a WR3 candidate with upside  in the short term with potential to develop into a strong WR2 if he keeps getting more looks than Vincent Jackson. Evans has some nice matchups coming his way the next three weeks against the Falcons, Redskins, and Bears which should allow him to continue his strong rookie season and make a serious run at 1,000 yards receiving by the end of the year.
