San Diego Chargers (5-4)

You have to wonder what is going on with the San Diego Chargers. Since they were edged by the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, the team has looked like it lost all its mojo. They were never really in the game against Denver in Week 8 and they had their doors blown off by the Miami Dolphins in Week 9.

It wasn’t even close to a game in fact. Philip Rivers looked the way he did under Norv Turner, the defense was horrific and the offensive line was a tire fire.

Not to take anything away from a great effort by Miami, but this was not remotely a good game by the Chargers.

A three game skid against good teams puts the five game win streak against mediocre to bad teams in perspective.

While the Chargers come out of the bye with a comfort-blanket level game against the Oakland Raiders, things immediately get tough after that with games against the Rams, Ravens, Patriots, Broncos and the 49ers before wrapping the season up in Kansas City.

It can get really ugly, really fast for the Chargers if they can’t get healthy and get their act together over the next week.
