Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals

Despite the fact that many of the Thursday night games have been blow outs, I think this could be a very close game. Brian Hoyer has the Browns in playoff contention midway through the season and I don’t know if anyone outside of Cleveland saw that coming. I see a lot of field goals in this one as the defenses keep their teams in it. Ultimately, I have to lean towards the home team in a close game like this and I think Jeremy Hill could have a big day against a defense that has allowed one of the worst YPC numbers in the NFL.

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills

This is another game that looks like it could be very close. Last season the Chiefs pulled out a hard fought victory in Buffalo and now they must return again this season. Both teams are in playoff contention at this point so this could end up being a key match up as the season plays out. With CJ Spiller done for the year, Fred Jackson questionable, and Sammy Watkins a little dinged up now as well the Bills could be a little short handed for playmakers on offense. Add to that the fact that Kyle Orton sometimes struggles against the blitz (Justin Houston is leading the NFL in sacks) and suddenly it looks like KC might be destined to pull this one out.
