1. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Golden State hired head coach Steve Kerr this offseason to replace Mark Jackson, and he has the Warriors playing at an incredibly high level and a 4-0 record to start the season. Stephen Curry is still the face of the Warriors’ franchise, and he has been playing like one so far this season.

Curry has averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game so far this season. If the Warriors are going to take the next step that they are hoping to take, they are going to need Curry to continue his excellent play. Klay Thompson is also beginning to come into his own, which will continue taking some of the pressure off of Curry.

This is the year that Golden State believes they can shock some people and make a serious run. Curry has been playing both ends of the court, and is a legitimate defensive threat for opposing guards. Couple that with his offensive ability, and he is in for the best season of his young career.
