AFC 6th Seed: Buffalo Bills (9-7)

I went back and forth with this one. It will go down to the wire between the Bills and the Miami Dolphins. I just think The schedule worked out for the Dolphins to end the first half. After starting 2-3, they faced the Chicago Bears, who have an atrocious defense, the Jacksonville Jaguars who are, well, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the San Diego Chargers who, despite being a good team, haven’t won in Miami for over three decades (32 years to be exact).

The Dolphins start the second half with three tough games. They go to Detroit to face the top-ranked defense, the Lions. Then they play at home against the Bills and go to Denver to play the Broncos.

That game against the Bills may decide the last slot in the AFC playoff picture. Whoever wins that game will take the playoff spot.

After replacing E.J. Manuel with Kyle Orton, the Bills have been more consistent on offense. Orton has been able to hit his receivers a lot better than Manuel, and that has been great for rookie wideout Sammy Watkins.

Orton may not be the greatest quarterback, but he’s been through the wars and can manage a game. I still cannot trust Ryan Tannehill to do the same in Miami.
