AFC 4th Seed (AFC North Champions): Cleveland Browns (11-5)

Yes, Cleveland, you will have a playoff run to watch this season, but it’s not the Cavaliers that you will watch first. It will be the Browns. Get the dog pound ready!

After the dismantling of the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, the Browns are in first place. Yes, that is correct, the BROWNS are in first place.

The Browns started the season in a quandary. They drafted Johnny Manziel in the first round and many expected him to be the Browns’ starter. That did not happen, as Brian Hoyer was the surprise pick to start the season as the starting quarterback, even though he outplayed Manziel in the preseason. Many figured the Browns were not going anywhere so put Manziel in there to learn the ropes.

Well, Hoyer has the Browns in a first place tie with the Steelers. He has done everything the Browns’ coaching staff has asked of him. He has not made the big, critical mistakes, and he has made some big time throws.

And now Hoyer is getting his best receiver back. Josh Gordon is due back by the end of the month and he will add some firepower to the Browns offense in the stretch run. Look for them to pull past the Steelers and win the AFC North.
