Carolina Hurricanes Break November Win Streak In Loss To Capitals
The Washington Capitals become first team in November to overthrow the Carolina Hurricanes
I know it’s wrong and all to be happy that someone lost, but thank God someone beat the Carolina Hurricanes. I was beginning to think the entire league had been punked.

After going completely winless in October, the Carolina Hurricanes had shocked everyone when they won four consecutive games during the month of November. They triumphed over the Arizona Coyotes, the Los Angeles Kings, and the Columbus Blue Jackets (in back-to-back matchups) before finally falling to the Capitals at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
The Hurricanes had started out the season with both Staal brothers on injured reserve, but gained captain Eric Staal back in time to hit their stride at the start of November. The team now sits with a 4-6-3 record; not quite good enough to be considering post-season action, but effectively pulling them out of the bottom three spots in the league.
The Hurricanes have a day off to regroup before facing off against the Calgary Flames at home in Raleigh. Hopefully, home ice advantage will keep this team on their upward trend; after finishing the first month of the season with only two points, the franchise is now only two wins away from the last playoff spot.
