New York Jets (+4.5) over Pittsburgh Steelers

I regularly talk about “fading the public” and how taking an ugly side is often the right play. However, this one puts that to the test in a big, big way.

New York is wretched right now with a 1-8 record, and the Steelers are coming off an impressive win over rival Baltimore in prime time. To be honest, this line stinks to high heaven in the fact that Pittsburgh is laying less than a touchdown, but thanks to my warped sense of respect for the world of Las Vegas, that actually makes me want to take the Jets even more.

Pittsburgh opened as a 1.5-point favorite in this game, and that is insane, but getting more than 4 points could swing things, and I’m riding with Rex Ryan’s team. Pray for me.
