Losers: Chicago Bears

We knew the defense was bad last year, but we waved it off because the offense was so good. We figured there would at least be minimal improvement defensively and that, coupled with the offense would keep them contending.

We may have oversold the offense and undersold just how bad the defense is.

Next to the Green Bay Packers, the Bears looked like a youth football team. They got no pressure on Aaron Rodgers, had no way to contain the receivers and completely fell apart on offense.

Special note should be made of the play of Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte, the only two guys who looked like they hadn’t checked out by the end of the first half. Everyone else on the offense? Brutal.

The Bears don’t have the worst record in the NFL, but they are playing like the worst team in the NFL.
